About Us

The Master’s Driving School (TMDS) is owned and operated by Tim Schermetzler. Tim has been a Licensed Driving Instructor since 1999, and began training students with special needs in 2000. Tim has extensive experience in working with a wide range of disabilities and all levels of adaptive driving controls. He has trained adaptive drivers in six states, from Wisconsin to Kansas. The Master’s Driving School is committed to providing professional, individualized, courteous service to individuals seeking to increase their independence with the ability to drive.

The Master’s Driving School provides complete and comprehensive programs for all levels of trainees. TMDS offers services from high school classroom courses to behind-the-wheel training with adaptive equipment. This includes a full array of adapted vehicles and a shop to complete evaluations which require modifications that are too complex to provide on-site.

TMDS provides comprehensive driver evaluations and trainings throughout Wisconsin. TMDS is uniquely qualified to provide a pre-evaluation screening, behind-the-wheel evaluation, and on road training as well as medical review, worker’s compensation consulting and guidance. TMDS highly experienced staff is prepared to work with any type of diagnosis, and with beginning and/or experienced drivers. TMDS also works with clients, families, as well as medical and adaptive equipment professionals, to assist in making appropriate decisions regarding the issue of driving.

On-site service allows for evaluation and training in the client’s own environment, and greatly benefits those clients who may have difficulty arranging transportation.
